Loved your book. Enjoy your commentary. Miss you on series TV (i.e. Cosby,
The District). Thanx for your presence in the arena of ideas.

Greetings, saw you on the Cosby-TV Guide, "Where are they now?" Noticed that you support Black, African American artists. I have a veteran painter. My site is; www.arartsbs.org. The site in no way shows all of my works, however it is an example of a few of my paintings. Please note that my paintings do reflect the local community that support my gallery. I would love to break out of this local market, have a show, some shows in national and international locals. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, B. J. Abrams

Dear Mr. Phillips: I just read your column in the most recent edition of the Michigan Banner. Wow! If only the clarity of your thinking could spread throughout our country we might make it through the disaster the Congress and the President have compounded. Your comment that Mr. Obama makes Mr. Bush look like a miser is right on. I believe in the free market system, and I am scared that the Democrats and Mr. Obama really want the government to take over more and more of our lives. Thank you for bringing reasoned analysis to the Saginaw readership. Let us pray they listen to your wisdom. With great regard for you, Frumeth Polasky

Truly enjoy your site and your political/cultural viewpoint. Ever think of running for Congress? We could use you in Pennsylvania! Best wishes to you and your lovely family.

Joseph,
Regarding the Harry Reid comment: I do not think he is a racist either. His comments were racially insensitive and I think Republicans were really just highlighting the double standard. I think Steven A. Smith (ESPN) said it best when he agreed that Reid should resign. You cannot set a standard on insensitive language like the Democrats have and then not apply the standard and consequences to yourselves when you find yourself on the wrong side.
